I can only judge the shandy and the creme brulee and of course the look of the whole thing. So overall it is a nice, bright, very new restaurant, well furnished, everything is good. Unfortunately the creme brulee was with a little little taste ... The cyclist on the other hand was TOP.

Very tasty food. A good selection of regional dishes as well as delicious home-made cakes and pies. The ambience is great. We were served by a lady with a short haircut, she was very nice and accommodating.

Rustic yet comfortably furnished with different rooms (called parlors). The food is delicious, the portions perfectly adequate and the whole thing is reasonably priced.

I can't understand the mostly good reviews given our recent experience. As more or less local residents, we and the family let ourselves be tempted to have lunch here, given the good reviews. Admittedly, the ambience is pleasant and has a touch of the typical Black Forest. Everything is new and tidy. But the food: The sweet potato wedges served with the burger were soggy to sizzling, simply inedible. The burger meat was not eaten by three out of four who ordered it, and my youngest son almost completely left it behind. The rump steak ordered by one of my sons 'medium' was more than 'done'. And the two servings of regular french fries looked more like a single serving. It didn't help if, in view of our feedback to the waitress, we were told that we could have reordered french fries (presumably against payment). The waitress dutifully took our feedback, which we had given in response to questions, but did not give the impression that she was taking it particularly seriously. It is really lamentable that traditional country gastronomy is almost impossible to find in the central Black Forest. But the tourists will probably like it because they don't know any other way. In any case, we won't stop there.

Here you can give 5 stars with a clear conscience! The location is very modern and comfortably furnished. I was here for breakfast. There was a good and large selection. The service force (Hildegard) who was responsible for our table was very friendly and courteous (you could tell that she really enjoyed her work). I will come for dinner next time (hot food), I want to try too. (Thumbs up if it was helpful).

Waited an hour for drinks. Food came first. Food was just ok. Too expensive for that. I had to run after the service three times. Not great

Delicious breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. A large buffet with a lot of choice. Everything tasted very tasty. Conditions very friendly, helpful and competent. Individual requests are dealt with in an uncomplicated manner. We recommend. Table reservation in advance quickly. Despite that it was busy, we had a place where it was quiet and we could talk very well.

Ambience, food, service excellent! We love going to the beautiful beer garden and there is a lot to discover in the house. Cozy and a nice atmosphere, paired with professionalism, you rarely find that.

Good modern cuisine from burgers to roe deer from local hunting. The menu offers good, modern and traditional dishes that are very tasty. The staff seems a bit overwhelmed, but is always very friendly. The prices are absolutely justified for the quality offered.

Great new location. Original Black Forest cuisine. Delicious. Service top. To recommend: Tomahawk from Gutacher Weiderind (as a special while supplies last) or an original Black Forest sundae with cherries and cherry water on the sun terrace. Right at the Vogtsbauernhof.

Excellent food, excellent service, friendly staff!

Friendly and courteous service, nice atmosphere, everything new and well maintained. The food is regional and delicious, the meat tender and fried to the minute, vegetables and side dishes perfectly round off the dishes. We like to come back more often.

A really great restaurant in a beautiful building. Servers are very attentive. They could improve their vegetarian options.

Good german food done in a modern way, many of the ingredients come directly from the local valley and everything tasted great. Building is new and really fits the ambience of the region.

Good service and great food in a remarkable location. On top of today‘s lunch, we also bought some cakes to go which were delicious, as well. Strong recommendation, this was definitely not our last visit.
